Rhythmbox Couldn’t Detect Media Player

I’ve bought a Galaxy 5 Phone (no.. That Not S.. It’s five). A cheap android phone.. :D. But, I’ve had a problem with it. My Rhythmbox won’t detect it at all.. :( But Banshee did. I don’t really often use Banshee. But, here is some simple guide to make your Galaxy 5 syncronizable with Rhythmbox.

1. Create a file that named

.is_audio_player

on your root external card.
2. Fill that file with this :

audio_folders=Music/
folder_depth=2
output_formats=audio/ogg,audio/x-ms-wma,audio/mpeg,audio/wav,audio/flac,audio/mp3

3. Restart your Rhythmbox.
4. Happy Sync. :)

All of that step should be work on other phone/audio player type.

Update :

Hey, after I upgrade my phone to froyo, rhythmbox could recognize it without do that 4 step. Cool.. :D

Solving Audio Problem on Compaq CQ40

I have Compaq CQ40-337TU series. It has a problem audio support when you use headphone. The audio won’t go to headphone. Perhaps this works to another Intel series. I use Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family).

I was add this line on /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf on my Fedora 12 machine (previous fedora may works too).

options snd-hda-intel model=3stack position_fix=1
options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1

And restart your laptop. Having fun with your headphone.. :)
